January 18, 2012 - Two poorly
written bills threaten government control of internet content and providers is now in front of the U.S. Congress.
Cable Muse Network agrees with and joins Wikipedia, Facebook and Google that protest two U.S. House bills.

In an email blast today Jase Roberts, Technology
Director for Democracy for America went as far to state, “The Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA)
attempt to combat the very real issue of online piracy, but take a scattergun approach that could kill free speech and openness
across the Internet. Taken to an extreme, this type of legislation could result in political bloggers, news outlets, and even
organizations like DFA being silenced because the powers that be don't like our message.”

Co-sponsor of the House bills,
Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, has already pulled his support. It appears that Marco Rubio
jumped ship before these disastrous House Bills sunk in the wasteland of trying to control the internet.
