Rashaud Slaughter
rushed for 104 yards on 4 carries with 1 TD for UAB. The touchdown was a 31 yard toss sweep around the right end to give the
Blazers a 35 – 21 lead going into the half. That would be the closest the game would get as FAU wouldn’t score
again until early in the fourth quarter.

The Owls’ Jeff Van Camp would finish the day 24 of 36 for 254 yards with touchdown
passes of 2, 22 & 15 yards and 1 touchdown run of 5 yards.
The Blazers improve
to 4 – 5 on the year and FAU falls to 3 – 5. Next week the Blazers will travel to Memphis in another conference
game. The Owls will host Arkansas State in a non-conference battle.
