The 4th annual 'Pink Party' charity
event raised over one million dollars. The event's proceeds benefit Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Women's Cancer Research
Institute at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, directed by Beth Y. Karlan, M.D.

Santa Monica, CA (CMN) September 25, 2008 -- Elyse Walker, owner
of the Elyse Walker Boutique in the Pacific Palisades, and actress Jennifer Garner, founded Pink Party® to raise funds
and awareness for Cancer research. Elyse Walker’s mother was taken by ovarian cancer at 42 years of age.
This year's gala event was held on September 13, 2008, within Hanger 8 at the Santa Monica Airport in
California. Actress Tere Morris, conducted the live-auction of the evening's festivities and raised over $85,000 on three
unique items; a high-end restaurant package featuring 10 outstanding dinner locations, a Yellowstone Club getaway package,
and a Cuixmala Mexico getaway package for a private party of 10.
According to Morris, "This event brings together so many wonderfully
generous people and owes its success to the passionate and selfless devotion of Elyse Walker." One of the evening's
highlights was a runway fashion show. All of the clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories were from Elyse Walker and Elyse
Walker Men. Brunello Cucinelli, Valentino R.E.D. and Stella McCartney provided crowd-pleasing shows with numerous celebrity
models.
Tere stated,
"As a charity auctioneer, you never know what to expect, especially during such an ecumenically challenging year. The
support for the Pink Party gives us all HOPE, that no matter what, we are dedicated to finding a cure for cancer so no person
has to hear three words ‘you
have cancer’!" She
added, "I think it's really important that everyone still support charity events even when the economy is dreadful...if
we don't...who will!"
Many
well-known celebrities attended the event, co-hosted by Kate Beckinsale and Jennifer Garner. Tere Morris stated that, "In
addition to the supporters and sponsors, the event's success can once again be attributed to the executive producer of
the event, JL Pomeroy of The jLINE Group." Entertainment included mini-dressed 'go-go' girls and hip-hop male
dancers with pulsating dance music spun by DJ, Samantha Ronson best GF of Lindsey Lohan. "The eclectic crowd was kept happy with free-flowing
Vodka martinis. It was a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful event and for such a good cause. I look forward to supporting
Pink Party® '09", said Tere.
